Make Paper Bag Piñatas with the Kids

When you are grocery shopping this week, bring the food home in paper bags. You and your kids can craft these colorful piñatas  during the week and you will be ready for fun on the weekend, for a party or anytime a bunch of kids gather.

Craft Supplies:

  • Large paper bag
  • Spray paint (Design Master)
  • Craft foam
  • Curling ribbon
  • Feathers
  • Glue gun
  • Pompoms
  • Metallic streamers
  • Pipe cleaners
  • Scissors
  • Balloons
  • Stapler
  • Candy

 

Project Instructions:

  1. Spray paint paper bags — outside. Let dry.
  2. Use glue gun and decorate with foam, ribbon, feathers, etc. You can also add gemstones or any other doodads from around the house.
  3. Fill bag with candy and trinkets. Staple closed. Now the little ones are ready to party!

 

Safety Tip: Make sure an adult does the gluing whenever a glue gun is involved.
